Bengaluru: Shri D.Y. Uppar, a prominent leader of the Uppar community, veteran businessman, and dedicated philanthropist, passed away today. With his demise, the community has lost a visionary personality who worked tirelessly for social welfare and the academic advancement of underprivileged students.

Shri D.Y. Uppar was not only a successful entrepreneur but also a beacon of hope for thousands of students through the ‘Shri D.Y. Uppar Educational and Social Foundation.’ He contributed immensely to the community’s educational growth by organizing annual award ceremonies for talented students and providing specialized coaching for UPSC and KPSC aspirants.
Public Viewing Today
His mortal remains have been kept for public viewing today at the site next to the BEL Corporate Office (opposite Manyata Tech Park) on the Hebbal-KR Puram Ring Road, Bengaluru. Family, friends, and well-wishers can pay their final respects between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Funeral Rites Tomorrow
According to family sources, the final rites of Shri D.Y. Uppar will be performed tomorrow (Thursday) at Yankanchi village in Sindagi Taluk, Vijayapura district.
